The Red Kingdom: Sacred Ritual of Gowa
Revisiting a part of my ancestor culture from the land of Makassarese. “Accera Kalompoang” is a series of rituals which basically centered on the washing of the royal crown and treasures of the Kingdom of Gowa. Being an Islamic kingdom, The ritual itself is closely related to the Idul Adha, one of the biggest Islamic events which commemorated every year.
The Kingdom of Gowa is the greatest kingdom in the realm of Makassar ethnic in South Sulawesi province, Indonesia, which established approximatly aroun 14th century.
Thank you to Kr. Gojeng for explaing a brief facts of the Kingdom of Gowa. Truly a magnificent blast from the past. Presenting you a cultural photo essay from LgP, the first one.

Bali: The Long Awaited
Having stayed in the island for 2 years in 2005-2007, I have been always wanted to shoot in Bali for the very beginning I started to get more involved in Photography. My early August trip to the Island of Gods were actually my 2nd chance to take pictures there and I am gladly put more effort in making sure that I can make great ones. For some of the pictures, I arranged and booked early morning trips with motorcycle alone, slept barely 3 hours just to make sure that I can arrived at the spot on time. What a string of sessions with very very small number in result but large in quality in my opinion. Please enjoy the latest Travel photo from LgP.
