The Wedding Magazine Commercial
Wow, so happy to se my photos on a commercial in a national wedding magazine, ‘The Wedding’,for a local bridal here in Makassar. Thank you to Wilsam Bridal for being such a good partner all along.
As for a beginner photographer… it is always fun to have our work published. This is not the first time but it always felt like it was the first. A real moodbooster and makes me fall in love yet again to the world of photography.
I know i rarely posted bridal photos in my blog but it has been a major part in my photography career.
Cheers to all of us!
Macro: A Part of The Passion
Recently I’ve trying a new kind of photography. Macro photography. I am intrigued by my Macro mentor Mr. Noordin Seruyan who was having tons of his work published in 1x.com and any other photography sites on how he used minimum gear to achieve great results. Too bad I wasn’t able to attend his workshop in Makassar but he was kind enough to share his knowledge by using other media. Thank you so much sir.
Here you go my first posting about Macro which was mostly taken in the middle of model session. I hope is good enough to enjoy…
1st in 2014: Miss Eky
Hey friends, This is my 1st post in 2014. Glad to be back blogging.
Well just want to say a bit about photography. Photography was just my getaway from workdays routine in the weekends, but now, it has become my passion. The passion that led me into meeting with many many new friends and people. What makes photography is more interesting is that how vibrant the world of photography which arguably caused by easy access to own a red-striped or yellow-striped and maybe black expensive necklace called DSLR.
In My hometown, the proud city of Makassar, I can meet more than 10 people with DSLR in the malls at the weekend and there are photographic events almost every week, mostly in the form of model shoot sessions. Almost hundreds of DSLR owners flocks to these events if there are no limitations to the number of participants. Although I am not a big fans to such events nor bringing my DSLR anywhere, It’s a good sign that I wont be so lonely doing this and challenge to excel and be original. I wonder how far is my ability to learn will take me in this world of the light painters.
About The Session: This indoor session in a cafe with Miss Eky was very enjoyable. She is a very talented rising new model in town under the Donna Modelling School agency. It’s a late post guys back from November 2013. Please enjoy.
The Diva Miss Dewi
Dewi literally means Goddess in English and that’s exactly what she transformed into during the session.
The Beach: Miss Filery
Yes, this is the 2nd part after the post The Mountain with the same model, Miss Filery. The Beach was taken exactly 1 week after The Mountain. The Beach was taken at the PPLH Putondo (Center of Enviromental Studies Putondo), around 3 hours drive from Makassar into the heartlands of Makassarese people in Takalar. I intentionally did not take too much focus on the beach it self because there are many things that a photographer can explore on the spot which really make me busy trying to capture all of them. Please enjoy!
Awesome Miss Jennifer
Miss Jennifer is one of the most famous new model in Makassar and She has started her career nationally. Despite problems with the security down at the spot, I think I managed to get some great result. Here you go the results of this private session back in August 2013.
Island Retreat With Miss Phoa
Presenting another portfolio taken back in May 2013. It was lazy Sunday and supposedly just another simple session, however, great outfit selection, phoa’s cheerful nature and good spot transformed the whole session into another level.
Lovely Miss Ling
It’s been a while since I posted anything at my blog. Really cannot find a title other than this simple meaningful 3 words titile. Really suits Miss Ling so fine. This portfolio was taken at May 2013. 3 months old already and I still love it, however my editing is quite different now. Big thanks to Wilsam Bridal for yet again another great makeup and hair-do
Uniquely Miss Lin
2nd Session with Miss Lin. Timid with unique character, She’s one a very different model to shoot. Though she have to fight against the mosquito bites along the session, she was still managed to strike a pose. Please enjoy the results of this great Sunday afternoon session.
Dance at The Park: Miss Filery
Yet another session at Leang-Leang Prehistoric Park back in March 2013. This time it’s Miss Filery. I’ve been always wanted to have a session with this dancer and It’s been a waiting well paid-off. She showed great talent and determination as a model. Right from the moment I started this session, I always knew that It was not the last…
Walk-in-the-Park: Miss Olivia
Another Sunday afternoon at unusually warm and sunny February at the Tiger Statue Park and Akkarena in Makassar. Presenting Miss Olivia and all of her charm.
January Portfolio: Miss Angela

The Forgotten 9: Meipho and the Mountain Bloom
The Forgotten series is about those of my previously unpublished (at the blog) photos that I like so much, I just can’t let them rot in the hard disk.
I always love the picture. I love the tone. I love the mood. Wonder why I have never published the work on the blog. The session is the same with our previously published photos such as: The Forgotten 2: Miss Meipho and The Windows of Malino Highland and The Forgotten 6: The Garden and Miss Fitri. It was such a great session worth to remember.

I can still smell the relaxation feeling at the time when the photo was taken. It’s miss Meipho taken back at July 2012 in Malino Highland resort’s cafe, Gowa, Indonesia. Very very nice place indeed.

Meipho: 2nd Highland Session
Yet another presentation of ever cute and energetic Miss Meipho. The main point of the whole session was fun… I never felt short of spirit thanks to her out-going cheerful nature and the lush resort highland town of Malino combined. Fresh air, fresh approach, and also fresh-from-the-oven fun.. 2nd time with Miss Meipho. 2 hours of driving felt like nothing at all. Great!
Cheerful Sunday: Felicia
Felicia and I have just acquainted by a certain smartphone messenger application yet it felt that I have known her for years. Her cheerful persona really created different ambiance for the whole session. For those photographers who put model’s personality as top priority as a requirement in making great pictures then Felicia is my recommendation. See you soon on your 2nd session with LgP and Thank you very much Feli.
Angela at Her Finest: Limestone Session
Yes, She’s back. Our In-House Model, Angela, is back with improvement in many things. Leang Leang, a limestone cliff prehistoric park, will never looked the same again with Angela in the frame. The session was an easy one, thanks to our long relationship of cooperation. Well, never enough of thanking her for being my 1st model and stay around. Please enjoy as much as I do.
Bali: The Long Awaited
Having stayed in the island for 2 years in 2005-2007, I have been always wanted to shoot in Bali for the very beginning I started to get more involved in Photography. My early August trip to the Island of Gods were actually my 2nd chance to take pictures there and I am gladly put more effort in making sure that I can make great ones. For some of the pictures, I arranged and booked early morning trips with motorcycle alone, slept barely 3 hours just to make sure that I can arrived at the spot on time. What a string of sessions with very very small number in result but large in quality in my opinion. Please enjoy the latest Travel photo from LgP.
Thanks to Mr. Solipan for the accompaniment. Minor editing only.

Grescia: Colonial Fort Dream…
Fort Rotterdam, a 17th century Dutch colonial government fort. In this popular photo spot, my initial though was that we will encountered hard time to find and create something new, especially with a model who we haven’t meet before. No, not this time. With Grescia, inspiration are easily captured, supported by the fact her choice of wardrobe is fab enough in my opinion. Hope to see more of you, being growing up as a better and better model in the future. Thank you for this and future opportunities.
Maku-Up & Wardrobe: Provided by the model
Catherine!
Catherine’s Beauty really were the main attraction of this portfolio. It was an easy short session with such a talented young model. Here you go another Model Photo Session Portfolio from LgP. Credit to Fanny Chan for the make-ups and the wardrobe and Mr. Jeff for the lens. Thank you very much. Enjoy!
Island Session Samalona
It’s my first time going to Samalona Island. Greeted by clear waters and white sand beach that surrounds the island, imagination of having great pictures appeared right away. Having two sweet girls, Shelopy and Cindy Novia, as our talent models is a definite addition to the already good mood. Samalona, I am definitely will going back, maybe not only for another photo session but also to snorkel, a long forgotten hobby of mine… Thank you talents and the session arrangers.

Introducing Jennifer…
An early morning session in Sunday. We started at exactly 6.00 am in the morning at the Flyover Bridge first then later we moved to Citraland Celebes Residential Complex. What a great easy morning with fresh air accompanied by the fact that from the beginning Jennifer performance had promised many good photos for me and She did!… Absolutely, wishing for another session with Jennifer. Thanks for JC Photography for arranging the session and of course for the Mercedez-Benz as well as earning hard-earned permission to take pictures at Citraland Celebes.
Location: Flyover Bridge at the meeting point among Urip Sumoharjo street – A.P. Pettarani – Reformasi Toll Highway and Citraland Celebes, Makassar.
